What is it about?

"Garambullo" is a mexican dance film festival that seeks to create a community between artists focused on this hybrid and their audience. Selecting dance films from around the globe, this festival wants to discover students, national and international projects in the same event to be shared and screened in various venues in the Mexican Republic.

How?

Claudia Franco, starter of the festival, created "Garambullo" during her dance bachelor, discovering a concern to share, generate and know the world through an interdisciplinary audiovisual format that are her main interest: dance and the use of cinematic tools to develop more options for movement to be perceived.

The main focus of this project seeks to delve into film and dance as a solid language where both can nurture choreographic language.

2018

Inauguration of festival took place in Capilla del Arte UDLAP, Puebla, MX in December 7th 2018. Having good feedback, enthusiasm and interest in the artists that formed part of the program, Garambullo will start its second edition in spring 2021 seeking to screen in Queretaro, Mexico City and Puebla.
